CMEC, the Construction Materials Engineering Council, Inc., is a not-for-profit organization whose goal is to improve the quality of production, inspection, and testing of construction materials through its many Accreditation, Education, and Certification programs. Founded in 1983, CMEC is governed by a Board of Directors comprised of representatives from CMEC Accredited construction materials testing (CMT) laboratories; Cementitious Products Associations; Asphalt Associations; Aggregate Associations; and Architect, Engineer, or Contractor Associations.
A full-time staff administrates and coordinates CMEC programs, and the production of educational materials and proficiency samples, at CMEC headquarters in Orlando, Florida. |
